My essay for English today is about my favorite game or sport. I’m not really a sporty person, but I am competitive and healthy so I do love games. My favorite is simply Hide and seek tag. Not Hide and seek, not tag, Hide and seek tag. I know that its kind of old fashioned, but to me running around in the dark is tons of fun, especially if you have plenty of room. All you need are some people and a place to run and hide.
The rules are simple, and its easy to play. The rules can also change depending on who is playing. Some people like to tackle, some people like to have a base, some people have no tag backs and some have limits on where they want to play the game. ALWAYS DISCUSS THE RULES BEFOREHAND. That itself is a rule. You don’t want to be arguing over the rules in the middle of a game, when everyone is hot and tired.
Here is how to play. There is one tagger, that means one person that gets you to be it, and the rest of the players are run-and-hiders. The tagger then counts to a decided number while everyone else runs to hide, and when he/she is done counting they go out and try to tag someone. Once a person is tagged they are then the tagger and they have to go and tag someone.
The reason that I like this game more than Hide and seek is because in that game, the people hiding are out when the “finder” sees them. to me that is just to simple. If you get spotted from three acres away running across a field, you are out. The reason I like my game more that tag is that I feel like hiding is more fun. It’s as simple as that.
Now for the why. Why what you ask? Well, why you would play this game. The pros I just mentioned, so now for the cons. Con one, If everyone is not the same age or close to the same age, the younger or older kids will make the game not fun and unfair. Con two, It can make you tired easily. No one likes burning lungs and legs, so that can make some people have water breaks pretty often. Con three, It usually has to be played outside. That is normally a good thing, but if the weather is too bad then that could end the fun.
